Refund policy
As a UK/British company we are regulated and governed by the Laws of the United Kingdom as follows.
Returns Policy
14 days cancellation period
Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days for a return / cancellation or refund on an item. No reason is required (although we would always like to know more).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging ready for resale.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
If that sounds a bit silly, in practice this applies these, and more:
- Spray cans ie Warhammer / Citadel sprays
- Vouchers
- Magazines such as White Dwarf
To complete your return, we expect a receipt or proof of purchase, please hold onto your in-store invoices.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Books with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery / collection.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund may be credit in the form of a card refund or voucher.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time (usually 3 days) before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Sale items will require the original proof of purchase, as credit cannot be given for unknown amounts. Please be aware that this may affect items you have bought after you buy them when they go on sale:
In case of uncertainty, we will default to crediting the lowest sale price only, without other proof of purchase. Again, please hold onto your in-store invoices.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at toys@bournetoys.co.uk or in-store
